ICC CHESS CLASSES NEW SESSIONS ARE STARTING FROM September 8th, 2024.

After producing world-class players and Olympians in the Table Tennis program, ICC is now moving forward to offer a professional chess program with world-class instructors.

  • Get an in-depth view of the world of chess through games, activities, and practice.
  • The strategy and moves of chess teach children how to focus and think ahead in various aspects of life.
  • This program is known for its success in helping children build a vast array of skills; ranging from development in concentration, logical thinking, and even mathematical performance.

ENTRY-LEVEL/BEGINNER-LEVEL CHESS CLASSES

Kids will learn the basic moves and how to notate properly. At the end of the course, the kids will learn the basic rules of chess. They will also learn the correct chess habits in a tournament setting. The kids will also be ready to play a full chess game and notate properly.

  • Day: Every Sunday (for 7 weeks)
  • Time: 12:00 noon – 1:00 pm
  • Cost: $180 for ICC members and $200 for non-members (for 7 weeks)
  • Age: 5 & above

INTERMEDIATE / ADVANCED LEVEL CHESS CLASSES

Kids will learn the fundamentals of chess: opening, middle game, and endgame. They will study the 30 rules of chess. Kids will also be able to play one serious game after the lecture.

Kids will intensively learn some openings and tactics. They will also tackle several endgame theories. This is the class where we breed future champions!

  • Day: Every Sunday ( for 7 weeks)
  • Time: 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm
  • Cost: $180 for ICC members and $200 for non-members (for 7 weeks)
  • Age: 5 & above

ABOUT CHESS INSTRUCTOR SUJAY ROY:

Sujay Roy Has Been Teaching Chess To Bay Area Scholastic Students. Many Of His students have Won 1st Place In California State Scholastic Championships And Have Achieved National Ranking In US Scholastic Chess. Mr. Roy Was A State Champion And National Level Player In India And Has Served As a Chess Coach At Weibel Elementary School, Fremont. He Has Been A Tournament Director At California State Scholastic Chess Championships For Over 12 Years. Students And Parents Love Sujay Roy For His Teaching Style, Which Makes Kids Interested And Successful In a Very Short Time.
